We are seeking a Production Manager who will oversee and drive the entire production process, ensuring that our designs are brought to life with exceptional quality and efficiency. This role requires a detail-oriented and highly organised individual with strong leadership skills and a passion for fashion production.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Team Supervision and Quality Assurance:
○ Oversee a team of tailors, ensuring that all pieces are produced to Wanni Fuga’s quality standard
○ Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to established guidelines, patterns, and tailoring specifications.
○ Provide guidance and support to tailors, answer questions, and address any production issues.
○ Regularly inspect completed work to maintain quality control across all production stages.
- Production Management:
○ Coordinate daily production schedules and ensure that targets are met on time.
○ Organise the workflow of all tailors to maximise productivity and maintain efficiency throughout the production line.
○ Track the progress of ongoing orders and report progress weekly and potential delays or issues delays as quickly as possible.
- Inventory and Materials Management:
○ Work closely with inventory and materials management teams to ensure that all required materials are available for production.
○ Communicate any material shortages or issues to the relevant departments to avoid production delays.
○ Update daily production logs to provide accurate records of material usage and output.
- Team Collaboration and Communication:
○ Serve as the main point of communication between tailors and other departments, relaying important updates, instructions, or feedback as needed.
○ Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, open communication, and respect among team members.
REQUIREMENTS
- A Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Production, Business Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in fashion production management or a related role.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, materials, and production techniques.
- Proven experience managing production teams and working with external suppliers.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Passionate about fashion and craftsmanship, with a keen eye for detail.
