Wanni Fuga is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Product Developer to manage product development from initial design concepts through sampling, refinement, approval, and preparation for production.   

The successful candidate will work closely with the Creative, Design, Production, Sourcing, Quality Control, and Operations teams to ensure that products meet the brand's creative vision, quality standards, and production requirements. The role requires strong technical knowledge of garment construction, pattern development, grading, material selection, and product documentation.



Key Responsibilities

* Coordinate product development from initial concept to final approved sample.   

* Work closely with the Creative and Design teams to understand design concepts, construction requirements, materials, and finishing details.   

* Prepare and maintain accurate product specifications, including measurements, construction details, fabric requirements, trims, and finishing instructions.   

* Develop and maintain technical packs, Bills of Materials (BOMs), measurement charts, and other product documentation.   

* Develop, modify, and refine patterns in line with approved designs and technical specifications.   

* Carry out pattern grading to ensure accurate sizing and consistent fit across the required size range.   

* Coordinate fittings, sample reviews, and necessary product adjustments.   

* Collaborate with the Sourcing and Production teams to identify suitable fabrics, leather, trims, hardware, and other materials.   

* Work with the Quality Control team to ensure products meet approved specifications and quality standards.   

* Identify and resolve issues relating to fit, construction, finishing, and product quality before production.   

* Ensure all approved products are commercially viable, production-ready, and supported by complete technical documentation.   

* Maintain a product development calendar and monitor sampling, collection development, and production handover deadlines. 



Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

* Minimum of 4 years' relevant experience in product development or a related technical fashion role.   

* Completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme is mandatory.   

* A degree or HND in Fashion Design, Clothing Technology, Apparel Production, or a related field is preferred.   

* Strong knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, pattern grading, fittings, and garment finishing.   

* Proven ability to prepare and interpret technical packs, Bills of Materials (BOMs), measurement charts, and product specifications.   

* Good understanding of fabrics, trims, garment components, and material sourcing.   

* Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, organisational, and time management skills.   

* Ability to manage multiple product development projects and meet deadlines.   

* Proficiency in relevant fashion design or pattern-making software is an added advantage.   

* Previous experience working in a fashion house, apparel manufacturing company, or established fashion brand is an added advantage.
